In 1988, a meeting with a German engineer at an event in Munich sparked an idea for Mark Taylor and his business partner, John. Working from John’s home, they founded Mini Marquees, beginning a journey that would take their products to customers around the world.
John is also Keaton’s godfather, so friendship and family have been part of our story from the very beginning.
Room to Grow
Moving into our current premises in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, more than 25 years ago was a major milestone. It gave Mark and John the space and facilities to expand the company, develop its manufacturing capabilities and reach customers internationally.
Those premises remain our home today, where we continue to design and manufacture British-made gazebos for businesses, teams and organisations of all sizes.
Over the years, our customer list has grown to include names ranging from Budweiser to the Royal Air Force, alongside independent businesses, charities and community groups. Our branded gazebos and promotional gazebos have become part of trade days, exhibitions, sporting events and celebrations, each adding another story to our history.
Growing Up With Mini Marquees
For Mark’s sons, Lee and Keaton, Mini Marquees was part of childhood. Half-terms and weekends were often spent helping their dad, learning about the products and seeing the work that went into running the company.
Both joined the business at the age of 16, gaining hands-on experience long before taking over operations in 2022.
Today, they continue the work Mark and John began, bringing their own ideas while preserving the personal approach that has always mattered to the family. Carrying their dad’s legacy forward is something both brothers take great pride in.

Today, our commercial-grade pop-up gazebos and bespoke printed gazebos help customers create a professional presence at their events. With repairs, replacement parts and ongoing support, our relationship continues long after the first delivery.
